My wedding was outdoors at a private estate in Hillsboro, Oregon in June 2009. It was a vintage style, rustic wedding with peonies everywhere, crisp linen table runners, bell jar floral arrangements and an incredible thunder storm followed by hours of sunshine! I am glad we had that tent!
I picked out the dress with my friend Sara. It's classic delicacy and shape is what I wanted but the floral, beaded detail caught the light in a way that was magical yet subtle. It sparkles but not in a flashy or chintzy way. It is modest but not boring and has just the right amount of visual interest (check out the sheer detail at the bodice) and comfortable enough for me to be on my feet, outdoors, dancing my tush off with my best friends and family.
This dress held up with minimal fuss! I only had to fasten the bustle once after the ceremony and I was good to go for the reception.
